Red Dragon Taekwondo - Discussion forum > A bigger and Better Red Dragon TKD Kilmore

Well it has taken a year and a half but Kilmore has risen to over 20 students and we are still growing. With our fourth grading being our biggest, the goal is to have over 20 students grade at our end of year grading. Next year will bring on some exciting new goals. We are going to be putting together a sparring team to compete in the next Victorian championships, and who knows we might even try and put together a team to attend the Red dragon comp in Sydney. "State of Origin".
For all my Students, check out the local paper we all got our good looking heads in the local paper, from the grading. Keep up the good work everyone.

Wow how exiting to be in the local paper and promote the club. We will end up with more students in Melbourne than Sydney at the rate you are growing. :-) I think it reflect very well on the excellent job Chris is doing that the club is growing and going so strong. I was just telling Chris that we are getting alot of search queries on the web site for the Kilmore Class, but they are not searching generally for Taekwondo or Martial Arts, but specifically for him or Red Dragon. Brilliant stuff.

November grading was HUGE. 24 in total & lot's of parental support(I'm one of them!) Congrats Chris everyone at a high standard. I have seen other local clubs & they are not at our level.Zan has had an opportunity to move but won't as she is happy with her older classmates. The higher belts help her out & motivate. A couple of suggestions: 1. We need a bigger venue especially with hot weather coming 2.Younger ones need better discipline(maybe it's the school teacher in me!)but even Zan thinks so. 3. Training for sparring/tournaments - YES! Zan is rapt. This is what she has been striving for.Give them a goal & ability to test their level against others. John suggested something in school - maybe I could help out. Even just the Kilmore Primary kids(ie Zan, Declan, Jackson etc.) put on a display at school assembly? Would have to move quick on this tho. Will be dropping her back to 1 night pw.Please inform asap about end of year.Regards - Roz
