Red Dragon Taekwondo - Discussion forum > Who used the Self Defence┬áTutorials?

    Hi all,

I am looking for those who used the documents I posted with all the Self Defences explained?

Did you use them to prepare for the Grading?
Were they helpful? If so how?

    How can we improve these?

What don't you like about them?

    Thanks

I completely found these useful before and after the grading. Before the grading they helped me execute my yellow belt self defenses perfectly and after the grading they helped me know 2 of the 4 before i did my first lesson as green belt. But I did find a few errors, for the yellow belt, "Uniform Lapel Grab Defense 1" and "Uniform Lapel Two Hand Grab Defense 1" we don't learn, I'm not sure if they are to extend our knowledge in defense and they are not only the ones you teach us or if it was a slight error. Other than that they were perfect, well explained, great informative pictures and help me out a lot! - George Boutros

I know this is an older post so I'm not quite sure if your still after feedback but I used the "White Belt Wrist Grab Defense 1" prior to my grading as it was the one self defense I struggle/d with. Having the images there on the screen was helpful as I could refer back to them whilst practising which was an aspect the videos do not have. Overall these documents were extremely helpfull but there were a few things that I guess could be updated in the future. 1. Maybe a close up on the wrist placement 2. There wasn't a picture demonstrating how to bend over you opponent after you have posession of their wrist (This was the part I could never remember). Other than that they are a great tool to have, perfect for print outs if computers aren't avaliable!! :)
